Episode 7’s shocking scenes uncover painful memories from Oz’s childhood, particularly his involvement in the death of his younger brothers. Left in an underground storm drain during a flood, Jack and Benny tragically drowned—an event Oz has tried to bury beneath layers of ambition and vengeance.

However, Sofia manages to uncover this dark secret and uses it to dismantle Oz’s self-created myth. Through her probing questions and Francis’s painful memories, Sofia exposes the reality of Oz’s actions, painting a far darker picture of his path to power.

By shedding light on Oz’s past, Sofia forces him to confront the horrific events that spurred his rise as Gotham’s kingpin.

Why Does Sofia Destroy Oz’s Bliss Operation?

Sofia’s attack on Oz isn’t just fueled by personal revenge—it’s a symbolic break from her father’s legacy. Realizing she’s been following her father’s rules all along, Sofia decides to take control into her own hands.

Instead of managing the Bliss operation, she destroys it, severing ties with Gotham’s old crime families and asserting her independence.

How Does Episode 7 Set the Stage for the Finale?

Episode 7’s events have a cascading effect on Oz’s drug empire, leaving him isolated, humiliated, and without allies. In this weakened state, Oz’s fate is now in Sofia’s hands.

Alone and vulnerable, Oz is forced to face Sofia, who has outmaneuvered him at every turn.

With all odds against him, Oz is likely to retaliate, yet Sofia holds the upper hand, using his mother as leverage and weaponizing the truth of his past.

This penultimate episode sets the stage for an explosive final showdown, where either Oz or Sofia will emerge as Gotham’s uncontested ruler.

As both characters lock horns, driven by a fierce desire for revenge and power, the finale promises to deliver a climactic battle filled with betrayal, vengeance, and ultimate power plays.

How Does The Episode Tease the Finale?

The dramatic climax that featured an explosive showdown between the iconic duo (Oz and Sofia) can be expected to be a precursor to the revelation of the full extent of Oz’s shady past.

Plus, Sofia’s characteristic unrelenting suit of revenge might cause Oz to get overpowered, compelling him to perform one final destructive act to save himself and his crumbling empire.
