It has already been announced by Netflix that they would be back with a new and revamped One Piece anime, to be known as The One Piece. With the famous WIT studio and the legendary Oda Eiichiro, surely this remake would be a masterpiece as well.
Although the release date, cast, and other specifics haven’t been declared yet, lets delve into the existing information on the upcoming series.
Netflix released a teaser on the 17th of December last year to announce the series. It said that the animation would be done by WIT studio and that the adaptation would be starting from the East Blue arc.
However, no information of the release date or year was given along with this.

The visual released looks very classy having an illustration of a boy and a windmill on top of what seems to be a cliff.
3. Why Does One Piece Need a Remake?
One Piece anime which already has over a thousand episodes just seems to be a hurdle for new anime watchers. Most do not even consider starting due to the sheer number of episodes. Well, a new start fixes that easily.
According to the President of WIT studio, George Wada, One Piece being a series that started 25 years ago has a 4:3 format which makes the new generation fans who are used to watching modern anime quite reluctant.
