After claiming hearts as a manga and a live-action film, The Night Beyond The Tricornered Window is now ready to do it all once again as an anime. This story has everything that makes up a horror mystery, ghosts, exorcists, detectives, and even some yaoi action.
The story revolves around Kosuke Mikado who can see ghosts but does not want to because he is terrified of them. He then encounters Rihito Hiyakawa, a detective exorcist who forces Mikado to join him on his terrifying investigations.
The Night Beyond The Tricornered Window anime will have 12 episodes. The upcoming supernatural mystery anime will be released on October 3, 2021.
Given how the manga has 57 chapters, this could just be the first season of the anime. However, it is hard to rule out the possibility of these 12 episodes being the entire story.
To do that they will have to almost four chapters per episode, which is hard to do without skipping over and rushing things. Hopefully, the manga’s popularity prevents that from happening.
Although the supernatural mystery aspect of the story might be enticing, this anime might not be for everyone. Its previous trailers have always given off a creepy vibe which leads me to believe that the show might not be afraid to take things too far.
That is not just for the ghosts but for the interactions as well. Mikado and Hiyakawa’s relationship is very good later on in the story, but it certainly does not start off that way. Hiyakawa’s lack of social skill makes up for some really creepy interactions.
While all that might be true, that should not deter you from checking this out, because, despite all that, it will be a great show.
