But, of course, such power is easily abused, and scientists with evil intentions steal the device and infiltrate unsuspecting minds, and manipulate people into killing themselves. Chiba dives into a world of colorful dreams to prevent them from seeping into reality.
2Belladonna of Sadness
Belladonna of Sadness is a powerful revenge film that tells the story of a woman seeking control after being rejected. In medieval France, Jeanne and Jean are enjoying the happiness of being newly married. Sadly, Jeanne’s joy is quickly extinguished when she is sexually assaulted by a baron during a ritual ceremony. Even though it is customary, Jean is unable to cope and leaves Jeanne. Mima’s decision to transition from singing to acting prompts fans to react with disapproval, critiquing her decision on online forums. While dealing with the consequences and navigating the competitive acting industry, Mima learns she has a stalker named Me-Mania and realizes there is a killer targeting those close to her.
Balancing her image as an adult female celebrity with dealing with her past trauma causes Mima to struggle with reality.
