A lot of these adaptations and sequels were long overdue, which is why most fans are really looking forward to the month of April.

8Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2
If you’re into slice-of-life anime with cute and listless girls, then Aharen-san is Indecipherable is certainly for you. This anime had its first season released in 2022 and has been waiting for a sequel for about two years now. While it wasn’t well received by the entire anime community, it certainly found a place in the hearts of a certain demographic. Season 2 of Aharen-san wa Hakarenai will be released on the 7th of April 2025.
Aharen is a socially awkward high school girl who has issues with maintaining personal boundaries. When a fellow classmate, Raido, picked an eraser up for her, she considered him to be her best friend. From there, she tagged along with him for everything, and it was the start of the most wholesome friendship, which also has the potential to blossom into something more profound.
7Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc
After the Public School arc, fans have been waiting for Studio CloverWorks to animate the Emerald Witch arc, which is expected to be released on April 5th, 2025. The plot follows Ciel Phantomhive and his trusty demon, Butler Sebastian Michaelis, traveling to Germany to investigate a chain of deaths that is said to be linked to a witch who manipulates people through her powerful magical abilities, hence the title.
With detailed visual effects and breathtaking animation, this is definitely worth the watch, especially if you were invested in the previous seasons and OVAs. If you are craving an anime that supplies adventure, mystery, and a touch of thrill, this is the anime for you!
6Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Movie
This is yet another anime with a lot of cute girls (some of which are dragons, but that’s irrelevant), and it is the perfect blend of a slice-of-life, fantasy, and comedy. If you yearn for some color in your life, and if you haven’t already watched Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, we urge you to watch it on Crunchyroll. If you’ve already watched the anime, then mark your calendar because the upcoming movie will be released on the 27th of June, 2025.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid revolves around a stoic programmer, Kobayashi, who stumbles upon a dragon that could transform into a young girl in a maid outfit. It would turn out that Kobayashi had promised the dragon maid to let her stay at her place previously when she was drunk. With that, Kobayashi started living with a dragon maid under her roof, who would offer her maid services to repay her debt of being a freeloader.
5Wind Breaker Season 2
With the first season ending in a cliffhanger, fans are thrilled to know that our beloved brutes from Furin High School are getting another season that premieres on 3rd April 2025. We will be witnessing a face-off between Bofurin and KEEL, and it will be one hell of a fight. As the tension builds up, it is up to the socially awkward and combat-oriented Sakura Haruka to lead his classmates to victory.
Knowing that the second season is going to be animated by CloverWorks, the same studio that animated the first season of Wind Breaker, every single frame will be vibrant and lively. So, clear your schedule and be prepared for the Bofurin vs KEEL showdown!
4The Beginning After The End (TBATE)
The Begining After The End is finally getting an anime adaptation after 8 years of the manhwa’s serialization. If you’re into the typical reincarnation anime with tropes of magic, adventure, and action, then this anime is for you. The Beginning After The End anime will be released on Wednesday, the 2nd of April 2025.
It is interesting to note that this anime bears quite a bit of resemblance to Mushoku Tensei because both anime feature main characters reincarnating into magical worlds as babies. One major difference would be that the main character of Mushoku Tensei was a major loser in his past life, and the protagonist of TBATE was one of the most powerful men in the world.
3Fire Force Season 3
When humanity is faced with a crisis where humans spontaneously combust into flames and start manipulating fire, Kusakabe Shinra, a new recruit to the 8th Special Fire Brigade, and his fellow companions are tasked with the duty of saving humanity from this weird phenomenon.
After the end of the second season, the third season is split into two parts where: the first part will be aired on 4th April 2025, and the second part is estimated to be released in January 2026. The third season will be animated by David Production, which also animated the first and second seasons of the Fire Force anime, and it will take the anime community by storm.
2Konosuba Season 3 OVA
The Adventures of Kazuma and his harem, which include a masochistic knight, a crimson witch, and a literal (useless) god, are not over yet, as the OVA episodes for the third season are expected to be released on April 25, 2025. Studio Drive will animate it, and will contain two episodes that are going to be just as chaotic and hilarious as the other seasons of Konosuba.
Brace yourselves, as this short but ridiculously animated series is going to be a very unique experience. If you haven’t watched the anime previously, we strongly urge you to watch it, as it is one of the best anime in the fantasy and isekai genre.
1Lazarus
Lazarus is by far one of the most anticipated anime of 2025, and people have been waiting for the release of this anime since 2023, when the anime was announced. This anime will be directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, the director of Cowboy Bebop and the action director of John Wick, which is by far one of the best combos that any anime has seen. The original TV anime Lazarus will be released on the 5th of April, 2025, on Adult Swim.
