The misfit of the Demon King Academy is a Japanese light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma.

After 2000 years, the ruthless Demon King was finally reincarnated, only to find the History about his existence to be misinterpreted and wrongly passed down. Not only are his descendants lacky, but also their magic spells are filled with errors.

3. Recap of Episode 3

I. Ivis Necron

Episode 3, titled “Sasha’s True Intentions,” begins with Sasha asking Misha about Anos, and they end up discussing their feelings about him.

Sasha is reminded of the past and Misha’s kindness towards her, which makes her apologize. The next day Anos and Misha talk about Sasha’s upcoming birthday, as Misha is confused about picking a gift for her.

Sasha comes in to sit with them, and Anos informs her about rejecting her teammates as the three of them are enough for this team. As the class begins, their teacher announces that one of the seven elderly demon emperors will take a special lecture on Great Magic.

Sasha gives a brief introduction about the elders to Anos, who seemed clueless about them. When he learns that they were the seven subordinates he created, he is quick to criticize their stewardship as sloppy.

II. Tampered Memories

Their teacher introduces Lord Ivis Necron as he walks in, Anos stands up and greets him with an air of authority. When asked about not recognizing Anos, Ivis replies he’s lost his memories from 2000 years ago.

Ivis begins his lecture on the Necron family’s secret technique, “Fusion Magic.” After class, Ivis and Anos meet to talk about his lost memories from 2000 years ago and discuss the fact that the History of the Demon King has grossly tampered.

Ivis tells him that he will remain neutral for the time until there is concrete proof of Anos being their Demon King. Anos meets with Misha, and she shows him the letter she received from the person who raised her.

Nearby Sasha argues with her previous teammates and gets angry when they pass awkward looks at Misha.

III. Twist of Fate

Dungeon exam takes place with their task to take on the Demon Palace Delsgade. Anos in complete confidence heads in his castle to retrieve the demon king’s scepter.

While leisurely walking along the corridor, Anos tells Misha to pick whatever she wants from the treasures as Sasha’s birthday present and learns that they were twin sisters.

They enter the lowest level alter through the secret passage and succeed in their mission. Misha picks the Phoenix robe as Sasha’s present, but she gives it to her only to be stabbed by Sasha!

She reveals her true intentions to Anos and mocks him, not surprised by the betrayal he smashes Sasha’s powers and heals Misha, but lets Sasha getaway upon Misha’s request.

Misha tells him the story about herself disappearing on her 15th birthday.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy, also known as Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha, is a Japanese light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma.

The series initially began as an amateur web novel in April 2017 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō.

It was later acquired by ASCII Media Works, which officially began to publish it in March 2018. A manga adaptation by Kayaharuka launched online in July 2018, and an anime television series adaptation by Silver Link premiered on July 4, 2020.

It tells the story of History’s Strongest Demon King, who reincarnates after 2000 years and goes to Delsgade School (which trains young demons) with his descendants.

However, after his reincarnation, he finds out that the world is too used to peace that his descendants became too weak due to a colossal weakening in magical powers.
