3. Recap of Episode 7

The episode 7 titled, “Mother’s Words”, begins with Anos resolving to defeat the Royalists no matter what tricks they have up their sleeve.

He uses the sword received from his father Gusta to fight in his first match in the Magic Sword Tournament. Meanwhile in the dressing room, Lay clutches his chest.

Sensing that something is wrong with Lay, Anos speculates that somebody is controlling Lay and a hostage may be involved. 

After that Anos understands that there’s a magic sword embedded inside Lay. 

Further, we see Anos’ parents and the fan club congratulating Anos’ on his wins today. Anos’ then says that he has to go run some errands. 

To which his Mother replied by saying that she would like to hold on to his sword for the next match. Anos’ fan club said they would accompany her too. 

Then we see Anos and Misa checking on Lay’s mother and helping her in any way. Then they realize that Lay’s mother has a spirit disease as she is a half spirit and half-demon. 

Anos creates a spell that links Misa and his mother’s sources together in order to save Lay’s mother. 

Meanwhile, Anos’ mother and the girls from Anos’ fan club are attacked by their teacher Emilia in order to steal Anos’ sword. As she looks down upon them for being a hybrid and not royalty.

The girls try their best to protect Anos’ mother. Then Anos’ swoops in just in time. He heals and rescues everyone. 

Later, he kills and rebirths Emilia as a hybrid. He places a curse on her, that no matter how many times she rebirths she will be born as a hybrid only. 

At the end of the episode, we see Lay visit his mother again and he lets Misa take a rest.

His mother then tells him not to worry about her as she was happy enough that she got to meet Lay in this life.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy, also known as Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha, is a Japanese light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma.

The series initially began as an amateur web novel in April 2017 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō.

It was later acquired by ASCII Media Works, which officially began to publish it in March 2018. A manga adaptation by Kayaharuka launched online in July 2018, and an anime television series adaptation by Silver Link premiered on July 4, 2020.

It tells the story of History’s Strongest Demon King, who reincarnates after 2000 years and goes to Delsgade School (which trains young demons) with his descendants.

However, after his reincarnation, he finds out that the world is too used to peace that his descendants became too weak due to a colossal weakening in magical powers.
