The Misfit of Demon Academy Episode 9: Release Date, Preview, Watch Online

The misfit of the Demon King Academy is a Japanese light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma.

After 2000 years, the ruthless Demon King was finally reincarnated, only to find the History about his existence to be misinterpreted and wrongly passed down. Not only are his descendants lacky, but also their magic spells are filled with errors.

Getting labeled as a misfit due to their beliefs in the incorrect History, Anos joins the Demon King academy with other students who are being trained to become Demon Lords.

1. Episode 9 Title & Release Date

Episode 9 of The Misfit of Demon Academy anime titled, “The Mystery of the Hero Academy.” It will be released on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

I. Is the anime on a Break This Week?

No, episode 9 of The Misfit of the Demon King Academy anime will be released as per its schedule; thus, no such delay is announced.

The anime comes out weekly every Saturday.

2. Episode 9 Preview & Speculation

Episode 9 is titled  “The Mystery of the Hero Academy.” The preview was not revealed at the end of episode 8. 

We speculate that this wasn’t the first time that we saw Melheis being manipulated by an unknown force. We see that Anos suggests this could be the works of Avos Delhevia.

We don’t know yet who this anonymous character is, but as the series progresses we will get to know more about this character that may have been manipulating people ! 

3. Recap of Episode 8

Episode 8 titled, “The Final Duel” begins with Lau and Anos in a battle with each other with special rules.

They had to wear a bracelet on their arms which would constantly deplete Anos’ magical power and put him at a disadvantage.

Then we see them pretending to fight and Anos piercing Lay’s heart and destroying the sword inside his chest. Therefore, freeing him from being a hostage. 

A huge Magic Circle appears in the arena. The scenery around Anos and Lay begins to distort, and they are taken into an alternate dimension.

The mastermind behind the recent events finally reveals his true identity. We see that Melheis was conspiring everything all along, he also held Lay’s mother, Sheila, as a hostage. 

Melheis was confident that he had an advantage over Anos as he brought along two of the Seven Elder Demon Emperors and the fact that Anos’ magic power was depleted. But then we see Anos defeating those two emperors in a flash. 

Later, while Lay tried his best to protect his mother, Anos was busy trying to fight against Melheis. We then see Lay’s mother finally remembering her true identity i.e a sword. She transforms into a sword and helps Lay fight against Melheis’s magic.

Soon we see Anos being able to defeat Melheis even after being depleted of magic power. He also finds out that Melheis was actually being controlled by someone else.

After coming back into his senses he tells Anos about the last time they had met each other. Melheis was assaulted by an anonymous entity and therefore being manipulated. 

At the end of the episode, Anos also revives Sheila, Lay’s mother. By spreading her traditions and rumors. As she finally remembered her true identity.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy, also known as Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha, is a Japanese light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma.

The series initially began as an amateur web novel in April 2017 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō.

It was later acquired by ASCII Media Works, which officially began to publish it in March 2018.

A manga adaptation by Kayaharuka launched online in July 2018, and an anime television series adaptation by Silver Link premiered on July 4, 2020.

It tells the story of History’s Strongest Demon King, who reincarnates after 2000 years and goes to Delsgade School (which trains young demons) with his descendants.

However, after his reincarnation, he finds out that the world is too used to peace that his descendants became too weak due to a colossal weakening in magical powers.
