Michelle Gomez and Sacha Dhawan, who played the Masters from Doctor Who met at a fan event recently.
The two actors portrayed different versions of the evil Time Lord, with Gomez’s Missy trying to become a better person and Dhawan’s Master seeking revenge for a dark secret.
Steven Moffat, an ex-writer for the show, said he would love to see them join forces on-screen.
Dhawan’s Master said goodbye to the Doctor in 2022’s “The Power of the Doctor,” but he reunited with Gomez, who played an earlier Master, at Armageddon Expo.
They hosted a panel for the fans, and Dhawan posted a video of their fun time on his Instagram.
The video shows Dhawan and Gomez descending a staircase in slow motion, arm-in-arm, like two villains from Rémi Wolf’s 2021 song.
Fans at the event and online loved their chemistry, and so did Moffat, who brought Gomez’s Master to the show.
He commented on Dhawan’s post, asking Davies, the current Doctor Who boss, to make them team up on-screen.
Has There Ever Been a Multi-Master Doctor Who Story?
Doctor Who fans have seen many Doctors team up on the screen, but not many Masters. So far, the only TV story where two Masters met was 2017’s two-part finale, “World and Time Enough/The Doctor Falls.”
In this story, Gomez’s Missy, played by John Simm, faced her past self and decided to help Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor against him. But this choice cost her life.
The Master is a notorious time traveler who loves to meddle with his own past and future selves.
While Doctor Who’s TV show has rarely shown such encounters, the expanded media has given fans plenty of multi-Master stories to enjoy.
One is Missy, played by Michelle Gomez, who has teamed up with several other versions of The Master in comics and audio dramas.
Her recent collaboration with Sacha Dhawan hints at a possible on-screen partnership. This was further fueled by former showrunner Steven Moffat’s praise for their chemistry.
Could this mean that Missy and Dhawan’s Master will meet in the upcoming era of Doctor Who, led by Ncuti Gatwa and Russell T Davies? Or will they have to settle for a sonic showdown in the audio adventures of Big Finish?
It would be a blast to see these two Masters clash and scheme together.

The program depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called “The Doctor,” an extraterrestrial being who appears to be human.
