After more than two years, The Mandalorian is returning to Disney+ with a brand-new season 3. Grogu & Din were reunited at the end of The Book of Boba Fett and are now heading to Mandalore.
Star Wars just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming season, and we spotted some note-worthy clips. But before we get into that why don’t you take a look at the season 3 trailer? Watch the video below:
The trailer confirms that the Lucasfilm show will return to Disney+ on March 1 with weekly episodes every Wednesday. The trail set for the duo will lead them to Mandalore, but we can expect more stops on the way. The two notable scenes that stand out to us are Grogu’s growing powers and the callback to Order 66.
The clip at the end of the trailer where Grogu sends an enemy flying several meters away by using the Force is a testament to how much his powers have evolved. After spending time with Hamill’s Skywalker, Grogu seems more in command of the force, so we’ll definitely see him take a more active role in helping the Mandalorian.
The other short clip, which occurs sometimes after the half time mark, is a scene which we’re pretty sure is a flashback of the time Order 66 was issued. The clip shows Jedi lining up, preparing to attack as a lightsaber cuts through a locked door, this will finally reveal who saved Grogu – Mace Windu or someone else.
Although since the trailer was released, some fans are guessing it might be a cameo from Anakin Skywalker, who can return to the small screen in The Mandalorian just as Luke did. And this is not the only cameo people are expecting!
Since Ahsoka Tano’s creator Dave Wiloni serves as one of the writers in this season, we might also see Padawan in season 3, tying it to the upcoming Asoka Tano spinoff.
We did miss a few faces in the trailer, mainly Esposito’s Moff Gideon, and we only saw Bo-Katan Kryze briefly. But we guarantee the two will appear in the upcoming season!
Season 3 of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ on March 1, 2023. Are you ready for it?

The show follows the story of one of the Mandalorians from the famed Star Wars Universe, Din Djarin. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, he is hired to retrieve Grogu, known as “The Child,” from the Impreial forces, but ends up going on the run to protect him from Moff Gideon, a former Imperial Officer.
The show stars Pedro Pascal in the lead along with actors Carl Weathers, Gioncarlo Esposito, Gina Carano, Amid Abtahi and Katee Sackhoff.
