This week’s episode reveals that the dynamic between the New Republic and the Empire is alive and is there to stay throughout the season.
Even though the show is about Mandalore and we focus primarily on Din Djarin and Grogu, it seems that the Empire is still the main villain.
Let’s find out!
1. Season 3, Episode 4 Synopsis/Speculation
In episode 3, Dr. Pershing gets a weird mind-flayer thingy attached to his head, and Elia Kane cranks it up, erasing all his memories associated with cloning.
So, is this the end of Pershing’s storyline? Certainly not!
Cloning has played an integral part in the Star Wars saga, especially in current shows like Bad Batch. We know that Bad Batch’s finale will intersect with episode 5 of The Mandalorian.
So, removing Dr. Pershing from the story is out of the picture.
Pershing and Elia Kane are connected to Moff Gideon, and Moff Gideon is one of the foremost enemies of the Mandalorians. Next week’s episode will undoubtedly shed light on their connection and explain why Elia manipulated Dr. Pershing.
Elia will go to Coruscant to somehow make contact with Gideon, and some bombastic action sequences will take place on that planet in episode 4.
The show always introduces new Republic elements as we progress, and we might see Carson Teva in the next episode forming an investigation team about MAF.
Additionally, Bo Katan is still trying to adjust to her new role and dealing with the fact that Mandalore is not poisoned. The fans are eagerly waiting to see the dynamic develop between herself and Din Djarin.
Finally, the Mythosaur at the end of last week’s episode has remained untouched. It doesn’t seem like a cameo appearance, and I think we will soon see the heroes uncover the myth behind the mysterious relic.
Stay tuned for next week’s episode to find out!

4. Where to Watch The Mandalorian
5. The Mandalorian Season 2, Episode 3 Recap
In the third episode of The Mandalorian’s third season, “The Convert,” Coruscant is portrayed in a way that’s different from previous Star Wars depictions.
Instead of focusing on the political intrigue and busy traffic of the city, the episode portrays it as a place where people live and enjoy life. While the Empire’s defeat has allowed the planet to relax, danger still lurks.
The episode primarily focuses on the perils on Coruscant, but the action on the Outer Rim has far-reaching consequences.
The title of the episode refers to Dr. Pershing, a scientist who once worked closely with Moff Gideon but now leads a quieter life in the New Republic’s Amnesty Program.
He wants to use his abilities to help the New Republic, and the episode confirms his sincerity. However, he receives a case of yellow travel biscuits, which he has a fondness for, and it’s unclear who sent it.
