The Last Of Us Part 1, the remake of the original critically acclaimed The Last Of Us, is finally going to arrive next week. Announcements and leaks have been rolling out for a few months now, and it seems we now have some cosmetic references to other PlayStation hits in the game.
Twitter account @NaughtyNDC has revealed that Ellie’s new customization options reference major PlayStation hits. God of War Ragnarok, Uncharted, Shadow of the Colossus, Horizon, and Ghost of Tsushima are some of the references spotted till now.
There are also references to classic titles like Sly Cooper and Resistance, along with PS5 exclusive Returnal. Moreover, Naughty Dog didn’t leave its own Jak and Daxter series behind and seems to have given it several different nods in Ellie’s wardrobe.
Ellie can wear several Jak and Daxter shirts, but she also has the option of wearing Jak’s goggles and having a backpack resembling fan favorite Ottsel. Players will also be able to change the appearance of other items in-game, such as the guns and backpack.
Even Joel will have in-game customization items, which haven’t been leaked or officially announced so far. These aren’t the only new addition to the game, as there are new modes as well for players to speedrun through.
The Last Of Us Part 1 releases on PS5 on September 2, 2022, followed by a PC launch sometime soon.
