Satoko Narita’s The Klutzy Witch novel series recently got slated for an anime film adaptation. Production I.G. took up the job to animate this beautiful and adventurous tale, which we can barely wait for.
Although the novel series is not that popular within the otaku community, it is still a pretty renowned children’s book series. Due to this, the book has a lot of young fans waiting for its premiere, for which we now have a date.
The latest teaser for The Klutzy Witch anime film has confirmed that the movie will open on March 31, 2023.
The video begins with the protagonist Fuuka, a clumsy apprentice in a world full of magic, witches, and wizards. Fuuka is always with her friends Karin and Chitose, who help her out and save her from getting into trouble often.
One day, due to her clumsiness, Fuuka accidentally unleashes a dark witch who was sealed years ago for almost destroying the world. Despite knowing how dangerous it is, Fuuka takes up the responsibility to defeat the dark witch and save everyone.

About The Klutzy Witch: Fūka and the Dark Witch
The Klutzy Witch: Fūka and the Dark Witch (Rakudai Majo: Fūka to Yami no Majo) is an anime film by Production I.G that will open in Japan in spring 2023. It is based on “The Klutzy Witch” children’s novel series, written by Satoko Narita and illustrated by Senno Enaga.
Poplar Publishing have been publishing it since October 2006 under their Poplar Pocket Bunko imprint.
The story follows a clumsy witch apprentice Fūka who unsealed an evil dark witch and was sent to another world with her friends Chitose and Karin. Now it’s up to Fuuka to go against the dark witch and save the world.
