On January 1, TBS released three consecutive character promotional videos and a trailer video for the first episode of the television anime adaptation of Nana Mikoshiba’s The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule The World light novel.
The character videos highlight Rebecca Bradley, Elisa Griffith, and Amelia Rose.
The series is set to premiere on the TBS channel and BS11 on January 5, along with various other streaming services in Japan. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs in Japan.

The Iceblade Sorcerer is hailed as the most powerful sorcerer in the world. The one who inherited this title, Ray White, struggles to deal with his own immense power.
After fighting in the Far East War, his last accomplishment, he vanished from the battlefield along with a deeply scarred psyche.
Three years have passed since then, and Ray has enrolled at the Arnold Academy of Magic, a school attended by elite sorcerers from around the world.
Ray is the first “Ordinary” to attend this academy since it was founded, so he’s greeted by looks of scorn and contempt from its noble-born students.And now, he and the priceless friends he has found there are about to become entangled in multiple schemes. So begins the story of the most powerful sorcerer’s school life filled with both friendship and hardship.
The anime stars Junya Enoki as Ray White, Iori Saeki as Amelia Rose, NanaHarumura as Elisa Griffith, Azumi Waki as Rebecca Bradley, Kaede Hondo as Clarisse Cleveland, Akira Sekine as Ariane Olgren, Atsumi Tanezaki as Lydia Ainsworth, NanakoMori as Abby Garnet, Maaya Uchida as Carol Caroline, and Yuichiro Umehara as Evi Armstrong.
Masahiro Takata is directing the anime at Cloud Hearts with Yokohama Animation Laboratory supervising. He is also writing the series composition and directing the sound. Makoto Shimojima is adapting the light novels character designs by Riko Korie into animation with Tatsuhiko Saiki and Natsumi Tabuchi handling the music composition.
The opening theme song of the series “Dystopia” is performed by Sizuk and the ending theme song “Loudhaler” is performed by Maaya Uchida.
The light novel was originally launched on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2019. The physical editions of the novel featuring illustrations by Riko Korie were released in June 2020.
The manga adaptation of the novel is illustrated by Norihito Sasaki and was launched on Kodansha’s manga app Magazine Pocket since June 2020.
