Himuro’s wish comes true in episode 3 of The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague, titled “A First Meal and a Secret Photo”. Wanting to show gratitude to Fuyutsuki for all she has done, Himuro goes to great lengths to ask her out for dinner. They also finally exchange phone numbers.

Episode 4 Speculation

In the next episode, we will get to know exactly who Katori is. He seems to be Himuro’s friend, also a descendant of a yokai, probably a phoenix. From the looks of it, he seems to be a cheerful person, and Himuro will introduce him to Fuyutsuki next time. It’s a possibility that their office has more people who are descendants of yokai.

Fuyutsuki and Himuro’s relationship seems to be progressing smoothly. After exchanging contacts, they will grow even closer, and the sweet moments will continue in the next episode.

Episode 3 Recap

Himuro grows anxious about the fact that he and Fuyutsuki might end up in different departments after their permanent assignments are given, and prays to Nyanmero’s whiskers that she gave him earlier. Fuyutsuki also wants all four of them to be together since she has grown closer to them.

Their assignments come out, and they not only end up in the same department but also sit nearby. Himuro thanks Nyanmero for blessing him with good luck.

Himuro wants to express her gratitude to Fuyutsuki for her help in Okinawa and decides to treat her to dinner. However, he is too nervous to ask and keeps freezing himself and the things around her. Fuyutsuki sees this and gives him a massage to help him relax. Himuro finally gains the courage to ask her for dinner, and she agrees. She wonders if he had asked her on a date.

At the restaurant, neither know how to make conversation, and Fuyutsuki wonders if she is fun enough to be around. She steps aside for a bit to take an important call. A waiter asks Himuro if he is on a date, and he replies happily that it has been a wonderful day. Fuyutsuki hears this, and Himuro goes so red that he melts.

As they are coming, they hear Komori and Fuyutsuki talking. Komori asks Fuyutsuki what she thinks of Himuro. Fuyutsuki replies that she isn’t sure as she doesn’t even have his phone number and doesn’t know what he does on off days. However, she says she likes him and would like to make a snowman with him, which makes Himuro happy.

Himuro asks to exchange contacts with Fuyutsuki and finds that she has her cat’s name saved as her contact. She sends him a picture of her and Nyanmero together after reaching home, and Himuro gets so happy that he freezes his phone, unable to reply, before he calms down.

Himuro sees that Fuyutsuki uses the group picture they took in Okinawa together as her lock screen and is happy he is on her phone. As he goes away for lunch, it is revealed that she actually has the picture of child-Himuro she took, set as her home screen since she found him too cute, a fact she keeps a secret from Himuro.

While coming together after buying lunch, Himuro and Fuyutsuki run into a cheerful man named Katori, who seems to be Himuro’s acquaintance.
