Fuyutsuki, Himuro, and the rest of the employees go on their training retreat in episode 2 of The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague, titled “The Okinawan Sea and Melting Feelings”. Himuro is worried that his excitement will cause a snowstorm in the sea, but Fuyutsuki makes him a surf drum to get him to get accustomed to the sound of waves and calm himself.
Himuro is successful at controlling his feelings for the most part, but Fuyutsuki’s cuteness is too much, and he makes it snow. Fuyutsuki also finds out that he melts in hot weather, and his body shrinks into that of a child.
Fuyutsuki takes the group to a secret spot to watch the fireworks. Himuro is very thankful for the trip and the precious memories he has made.

Episode 2 Speculation
Himuro is concerned that after all the memories they have made, he can get separated from Fuyutsuki if their temporary assignment changes when they get their permanent ones. His anxiety may result in another blizzard in the office, but it is highly likely that his anxiety will be for naught, and they will still get to work together.
Episode 2 will show more cute, wholesome moments between Himuro and Fuyutsuki. We may also get to see more interactions with Komori and Saejima. The next episode is highly awaited.

Episode 2 Recap
Everyone is excited about the training retreat to Okinawa, except Himuro. Fuyutsuki asks him the reason for his anxiety, and he tells her he is afraid that being in such a beautiful place will get him too excited and that he’ll summon a raging winter storm. He is down since he wanted to sit by the southern sea as well.
Fuyutsuki comes up with a solution and gives Himuro a surf drum. She tells her that he can use it to acclimate himself to the sound of waves and train himself to prevent causing a blizzard in Okinawa. She adds that she wants him to come along as she will miss him otherwise. Himuro is touched and train himself diligently for days.
They all reach Okinawa and Himuro is confident in himself. After they are done with their training for the day, they all go out to the beach at Komori’s request. Himuro and Fuyutsuki relax under beach umbrellas, and he tells her that he will be fine and not melt if he is out of the sun.
Fuyutsuki shows him the travel guidebook she made. As they talk, Himuro has to calm himself several times not to get too excited by Fuyutsuki’s cuteness.
Himuro is successful for several days. He goes to a souvenir shop and is about to take a small cute replica of shisa lion when Fuyutsuki accidentally reaches out for the same one. He lets her take it, and she helps him to find another cute one. In the end, Fuyutsuki’s charm is too much for him, and he makes it snow, though he is able to prevent a blizzard.
The next day, there is a heatwave in Okinawa. Himuro freaks out and runs to a store but cannot get ice or ice cream since the store’s freezer is broken. While having breakfast, Fuyutsuki asks Saejima about Himuro’s whereabouts, and he tells her what happened. She remembers Himuro talking about him melting and runs out to find him.
Fuyutsuki finally finds Himuro in a shaded place in the garden but finds that he physically shrinks when he melts and thus has turned into a child. Himuro tells her of his predicament and how he needs something to cool off to return to normal. She runs and returns with a Popsicle that was given for dessert at breakfast and gives it to him.
Fuyutsuki sits beside him as he eats the Popsicle and admits that she finds him adorable, and asks for permission to pat his head. He agrees, but as she is patting his head, he returns back to normal, causing both of them to get flustered.
Fuyutsuki, Himuro, Komori, and Saejima eats and drinks at an Izakaya. Komori sighs and tells them about the fireworks festival being held that day, but it is too late to reserve good spots. Fuyutsuki takes them to a secret spot atop the mountainside that she found while researching for the trip, where they have a beautiful view of the fireworks.
Everyone takes pictures, and Fuyutsuki finds that she took a picture of child Himuro and decides to keep it a secret. Himuro wishes that he could come with her again next year.
As their retreat ends, Himuro is happy about the memories he has made. The chief, however, announces that they will be getting their permanent assignments soon, and Himuro gets worries thinking he may get separated from Fuyutsuki.
