If the penultimate episode is indicative of how emotional The Good Doctor season 6 finale will be, we’ll advise you to keep at least two boxes of tissues on hand. Because with this week’s episode, Shaun’s apology and Morgan’s confession had us reaching for the tissues the whole hour.

Episode 9 Synopsis/Speculation
Dr. Shaun Murphy unknowingly creates a competition between Drs. Danica Powell and Daniel Perez when he introduces a new performance rating system. Meanwhile, Dr. Morgan Reznick may have crossed a line with Dr. Alex Park.
Dr. Lim and Murphy may have solved their relationship, but with Glassman’s remarks looming over the next episode, we’ll just have to see how far these promises will last. Will Dr. Lim really get to walk again and overcome her paralysis?
Shaun and Lea haven’t given up hope even after the devastating discovery was made a few episodes ago. But will Lea and Shaun take the next step to expand their family after knowing the risk it poses to Lea and any future child of the couple?
Sparks have been flying between Perez and Jordan this season, but Asher remains a little wary of the budding romance. Are his doubts based on something real? Will Jordan and Perez be able to finally cross the line and begin a relationship?
Speaking of sparks, we see some between Andrews and Villanueva after their successful surgery this week. Will we see a new pair at the end of season 6 or at the beginning of season 7?
Even though Park and Morgan broke up after their list of issues with each other, we’ve seen Park grow more protective of Morgan throughout the last couple of episodes.
But Morgan has pushed him away each instant to spare them another heartbreak. What will happen in the next episode that will trigger the line-crossing we’ve been warned about?

Episode 8 Recap
Doctors Morgan, Park, and Jordan tend to Toni, a sexual assault victim while Shaun, Glassman, and Asher treat Naveen, who retained a surgical towel in her body, resulting in a severe infection. Meanwhile, Doctor Andrews and Villanueva tend to Gwendolyn, who needs her forehead bumps removed.
Morgan pressures Toni to get a rape kit, but Toni stays adamant that she does not need one. But after Morgan opens up about her own traumatic experience with a friend-turned-stalker, Toni agrees to the kit.
Villanueva admonishes Andrews on his impersonal approach towards Gwen, which leads to a successful surgery after he takes her words to heart. Jordan and Perez were seemingly hitting a wall till now, but just as Jordan decides to move on, Perez boldly kisses her. But when asked where this leaves them, he can no longer find his words.
Naveen and her wife’s situation causes Shaun to apologize to Dr. Lim about his role in her surgery, which resulted in her paralysis. What initially seemed like just an admission of his regret quickly turned into an emotional sorry, which Lim accepted but admitted she sometimes feels angry.
They agree to mend their relationship, and Shaun moves back into his shared office with Park. Glassman notes Lim’s physical movements and gives her hope that there may be a way for her to walk again.
