The God Of Highschool has earned a respectable position among other webtoons of its time. It is one of the first webtoons to get an anime adaptation along with the Tower of God and Noblesse. Fans are too excited to wait for the release of the anime which will debut on 6 July.
Crunchyroll has recently released a video on its Youtube channel, Crunchyroll Collection, where the cast and members involved with the anime have been interviewed.
A five-minute sneak peeks into the first episode of the series has been released, which has excited fans quite a lot.
The video consists of interviews of music producers, Yoshiki Kobayashi, music composer, Arisa Okehazame, and musical artists KSUKE and CIX. The voice actors of Jin Mori (Tatsumaru Tachibana), Han Daewi (Kentaro Kumagai), and Yoo Mira (Ayaka Ohashi) have also participated in the interview.
Panel with Music Director & Music Composer
Yoshiki Kobayashi, the music director for the series, is the bridge between director, Sungho Park, and music composer, Arisa Okehazame. Director Park wanted to use hip-hop and rap lyrics for the particular scene in the trailer, and Okehazame successfully produced a suitable piece.
The transition of scenes from fast action to comedy was a hurdle to overcome. The music stands out from other anime because it conveys speed and power and matches the action scenes quite well.
Usage of different Korean musical instruments has made the soundtrack unique and is also inspired by k-pop.
Voice Cast Interview
Tatsumaru Tachibana described Jin as a lively and cheerful battle freak. He is also someone who can easily make friends. It is Tachibana’s first time playing a lead role, and the experienced seniors helped in decreasing his nervousness. Kentaro Kumagai described Han Daewi’s combat style as an “exhilarating one-hit” style.
He mainly uses karate and is participating in the tournament because he needs the reward money. Yoo Mira uses the Moonlight Sword Style.
According to Ayaka Ohashi, she has extreme mood swings and sometimes feels like a baby. All three of the leading voice cast were pleased to be working for the Crunchyroll Original anime.
Musical Artist Interview
KSUKE made the opening theme song of the anime, “Contradiction Ft. Tyler Carter”. He describes it as an “exciting and danceable song,” which suits the battle scenes, which are the highlights of this anime.
CIX is a five-membered South Korean boy band who debuted in 2019. They performed the ending theme of the anime “WIN.” The members of CIX have grown up reading God Of Highschool and are very happy to be a part of it.
