Komura and Mei start their new term in episode 6 of The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses, titled “The Girl I Like and I Welcomed The New School Term.”

The episode comprised of two stories. The first half was about Mei and Komura going to the post office to send Mei’s gift point card. Komura was happy to sacrifice his outing with his friends to spend some more time with Mei.

Mei and Komura got an award for perfect attendance. They both get separated in the seating arrangement, but the girl beside Komura understands the tension and decides to exchange her seat with Mei to bring the two together again.

Komura will get his hand on Mei’s glasses in episode 7 of The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses, titled “I Brought Home The Girl I Like’s Glasses.”

Komura might die out of shyness and blushing one day. Mei is in serious need of getting her brain checked rather than her eyes. How is it that she has forgotten her glasses all the time for the last six episodes?

This time, rather than forgetting it at home, she forgets it in school. Now, Komura takes the glasses with him to his home, but it looks like he won’t be able to continue with his life normally till the glasses are in his room.

Komura sees Mei looking at a gift campaign point card. She needs to put it into a post box on that very day, or it will expire. Komura decides to help her.

However, Mei gets worried when she overhears Komura’s talk with his friends, where he refuses to go to arcane with them for her sake. She starts pretending like she is wearing contact and can see fine.

Komura knows she is faking it all. After pretending for a while, she gives in and tells Komura that she doesn’t want him to miss having fun for her sake. It turns out to be all fine as Komura helps Mei with the postcard and hangs out with his friends afterward.

Komura is left in shock by how fast the year went by. It’s time for the new year to start. Komura and Mei get an award for perfect attendance. Komura worries that everyone will think Mei is angry because she forgot her glasses.

He tries to relax her, but she starts relaxing him instead. He goes to the stage and gets super nervous. He starts thinking about her and realizes he has spent all year just thinking about her.

The time for a new seating arrangement comes. Komura gets to sit where he was sitting the previous year. However, Mei has to sit in the front. Turns out she got her seat number wrong and has to change again, but she is still in the front.

Mei keeps looking behind to find Komura. The girl sitting next to Komura goes ahead and asks for an exchange. Mei gladly accepts, and now they are back together just like before.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses or “Sukimega” (Suki na Ko ga Megane o Wasureta) is a romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Koume Fujichika.

It follows the spectacled girl Ai Mie and her deskmate, Kaede Komura, who is in love with her. Kaede wants Ai to notice him, and finds her adorable when she’s squiting her eyes after forgetting her glasses.

Ai has a tendency to forget her glasses and Kaede often helps her out because of it. Unknown to Ai, Kaede’s feelings keep on growing and soon he becomes the person she looks forward to seeing despite the bad eyesight.
