The Gene of AI Episode 7: Release Date, Speculations, Watch Online

The world is introduced to Perm and Learner-kun in episode 6 of The Gene of AI titled “Robot.”

Multiple companies invest in giving robots proper life experiences to boost their AI. Learner-kun goes to Kiriyama’s workshop out in the mountains to learn ironwork. Both the master and apprentice learn a lot from the experience.

At grade school, a robot named Perm joins the class and fits perfectly with the others. Although he’s a robot, he plays and studies with all of them and grows with experiences.

Sudo is introduced to the Learner-kun and will likely investigate more into the consciousness of Robots. He will also see how much growth an AI can achieve using life experiences similar to a human.

He may use this to his advantage to find the criminal who framed his mother. Sudo could also get his own robot and use it to help him further investigate the case and see things he missed out on.

3. Recap of Episode 6

A professor client of Sudo’s had visited a blacksmith on the outskirts of the town. He brought a robot to the veteran iron worker, Kiriyama, to learn the process and train his AI brain. He observed Kiriyama’s daily routine and quickly learned it.

He had always had bad experiences with apprentices, but he was also a student once.

The Professor entrusted the robot to Kiriyama, and he mimicked all his daily actions and paid very close attention. The first knife he made was nearly perfect, reigniting Kiriyama’s curiosity and motivation to improve.

During the new school season, a new robot student took admission. He introduces himself as Perm, and all the students are eager to be his friend. After class, he joins everyone at the playground and quickly learns new skills.

Perm is much better in some things due to his robotic specs, but simple things are more challenging. Sasayan, his friend, helps him with the easier things and helps him through school. After a couple of months pass, he starts acting differently and gets scared of simple things like a paper cutter.

After summer vacation, he announces that he is moving out of the school in a month. The entire class gives him a massive farewell as he leaves the school a grown-up robot, ready to give his best efforts at a caregiver center.

AI no Idenshi (The Genes of AI) is a sci-fi manga series by Kyūri Yamada. It began serialization in November 2015 and concluded in August 2017, followed by two sequel manga series. The manga is now inspiring a TV anime by Madhouse.

The story is set in a future world where 10% of the population is humanoids and Hikaru Sudō is a human doctor. Unlike what most people think, humanoids are much similar to humans and have their own problems and illnesses that can lead to death. Hikaru aims to help them with his humanoid assistant, Risa Higuchi.
