The Flight Attendant is rumored to be back in Spring 2022, date TBA. Here’s what you can expect from Season 2.
The story follows Kaley Cuoco’s Cassie, a flight attendant who finds herself next to a dead body after a night of drunken chaos.
With no memory of the night or possible explanations of how she could’ve landed in such a situation, the first season has her on the hunt for the real murderer.
Not only does she solve the murder-mystery but she also takes much-needed steps into sobriety, a prominent addiction on screen that she had been dealing with her entire adult life.
Another reward is that she is also offered a spot on the CIA’s civilian asset program.
Cuoco had earlier teased that Cassie does take up on this offer. Now, an official logline makes good on this promise, stating that Season 2 will see the flight attendant moonlight as a CIA agent. Here’s more from the logline:
But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue.
The Flight Attendant
While the first season was based on Chris Bohjalian novel of the same name, the author has not yet penned down a sequel. This means that either Bohjalian could be called to collaborate or the show’s creative team will independently tackle Season 2.
Returning cast members are Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz, Rosie Perez, T R Knight, Yasha Jackson, and Audrey Grace Marshall.
Say welcome to the new regulars on board — Mo McRae as CIA agent Benjamin Berry, Callie Hernandez, and JJ Soria playing bounty-hunting couple named Gabrielle and Esteban Diaz, along with recurring guest members Cheryl Hines, Jessie Ennis, Mae Martin, Margaret Cho, Santiago Cabrera, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
The Flight Attendant was envisioned as a limited series. But its debut raked up multiple award nominations, praises all around and of course, the possibility of extending the story. Season 2 has very big shoes to fill!
