The CW (via ComicBook) has finally released the official synopsis for The Flash Season 8 starter and its Armageddon storyline.
The Flash: Armageddon is expected to be the biggest crossover in the Arrowverse as it will see some known faces joining hands to defeat Tony Curran’s Despero.
As fans await The Flash Season 8, showrunner Eric Wallace teases “some truly epic moments”, promising that the five-episode Armageddon story arc will be some of the “most emotional Flash episodes ever”.
Without revealing much but giving fans a broader idea of what awaits them, check out The Flash: Armageddon’s official synopsis below:
PART ONE OF THE ARMAGEDDON FIVE EPISODE EVENT: When a powerful alien threat arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances, Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton) and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to save the world.
But with time running out and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail. Brandon Routh guest stars. Eric Dean Seaton directed the episode written by Eric Wallace.
Among the many Arrowverse superheroes coming together, we have Batwoman (Javicia Leslie), Black Lightning (Cress Williams), Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh), The Atom (Brandon Routh), Sentinel (Chyler Leigh), and Mia Queen (Katherine McNamara)
The fresh line-up of crossover characters will bring a whole new dynamic between The Flash and the team. Considering they will also develop the Season 8 storyline, the latest Arrowverse crossover has fans all excited.
Meanwhile, The Flash Season 8 will premiere on November 16 starting from the Armageddon arc and air every Tuesday on The CW.
