The Flash Post-Credits Scene Explained

The Flash post-credits scene shows Barry and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) coming out of a bar after drinking a lot of alcohol. The Flash tells Aquaman that he has traveled to different timelines and met different versions of Batman, but Aquaman is always the same in every timeline.

Aquaman, however, is not paying attention and falls asleep in a puddle of water. He hands Barry one of his rings and The Flash leaves.

The scene does not have any major surprises or hints for DCU Chapter One, but it helps to clarify that Aquaman 2 will not be affected by any timeline changes because Arthur’s appearance does not change, no matter what.

The scene is also a humorous and charming way of preventing any possible online discussions about plot holes or the Aquaman sequel being out of sync with the rest of the DC movies. The main purpose of the scene is to provide comic relief, which it manages to deliver.
