The Figarland Family’s Role In One Piece Final Saga Explained

Right now, the One Piece manga is running its Final Saga. In the Egghead Island storyline, the show has finally answered several questions, and as it progresses, more will be revealed. Thus far, the series has unveiled the Reverie flashback and is currently focusing on Kuma’s past, and briefly mentions the God Valley Incident.

Ever since his introduction, Saint Figarland Garling has captivated audiences with his menacing demeanor and the ability to sentence a Celestial Dragon to death. We saw his younger self in the most recent chapter. It’s been a few months since he was introduced, but the series has kept his character shrouded in mystery. However, given Garling’s authority and the Revolutionary Army’s dread of him, the Figarland family in One Piece will undoubtedly play a key role in the Final Saga.

Everything we know about the Figarland family in One Piece

The Figarland family in One Piece is a captivating mystery, especially because they are one of the World Nobles’ royal bloodlines, which means they are Celestial Dragons. Their forefathers were members of the World Government, founded by an alliance of twenty kingdoms.

The Figarland family was originally referenced in One Piece Film: Red when Gorosei questioned the idea of Uta being from the lineage because she is Shank’s daughter. However, she is his adoptive daughter, thus she does not have any direct familial ties.

Saint Garling Figarland is currently the only known family member of the Figarland family in One Piece. He is the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights and is also the winner of the God Valley Tournament. His abilities have yet to be disclosed, but he is said to be one of the most powerful characters in the series, considered a threat even by Monkey D. Dragon. Garling even has the ability to execute other Celestial Dragons who exhibit unacceptable behavior in his books. He executed Donquixote Mjosgard for opposing his fellow nobles’ plans to enslave Mermaid Princess Shirahoshi.

Of course, we would like to know who the members of the Figarland Family are considering their status. Granted, this family has just recently been introduced in One Piece, but it already includes a few notable members, some of whom are hinted at while others are explicitly depicted in the plot.

It should be noted that each member of the Figarland Family is crucial and will play a significant role in the Final Saga of One Piece, promising exciting plot developments. The characters in One Piece’s Final Saga, including Egghead, will gradually develop into fascinating plot aspects as the story progresses.

Shanks’ connection with Saint Figarland Garling

Shanks was discovered on the island of God Valley, a place that we know now is of great significance. It was here, 38 years ago, that the Celestial Dragons held their Native Hunting Games, a day that would change the course of history. The Roger Pirates found Shanks inside a treasure chest, and thus began his journey. Among the Celestial Dragons present that day was Saint Garling Figarland, a detail that in hindsight was very crucial.

Although the series has not mentioned it, all hints confirm that Shanks is Garling’s son. Roger found baby Shanks in a treasure chest during the God Valley Incident. Furthermore, One Piece Chapter 1095 reveals Garling’s appearance from 38 years ago, and his face is so similar to Shanks, Oda might as well have traced it.

Shanks’ meeting with the Gorosei in Chapter 907 was also a significant event. The Five Elders granted him access to the Pangea Castle of Marie Geoise, a place reserved for the elite few. This exclusive encounter hints at Shanks’ noble lineage, a privilege for us to speculate about.

Shanks is one of the very characters introduced at the beginning of the series. Despite that, he is still extremely mysterious, as we know almost nothing about him, even though we have entered the Final Saga. This enigmatic nature of Shanks adds weight to the theory of his royal lineage, as it provides a plausible explanation for his secrecy and the respect he commands among other characters.

Shanks Might also have Siblings That Fans Don’t Know About Yet

Garling Figarland doesn’t seem to be the only member of the Figarland Family. It is heavily indicated that Shanks has siblings. In fact, during the God Valley flashback, Garling’s vocabulary suggests that he is speaking to his own children. It was initially mistakenly assumed that Garling’s tone towards other rivals was insulting, referring to them as simple children compared to him. In truth, a more precise translation of this sentence implies that his own children were observing him, which is why he tells them to pay close attention.

This essentially suggests that Shanks has additional siblings, which is not surprising given that fans have already seen a silhouette of the God’s Knights, and at least one of them resembles Shanks.

Shanks could indeed have more than one sibling, and the prospect of their inclusion in the narrative is intriguing. Those of you who followed the Egghead Island arc will remember the minor roles played by Shanks and Garling Figarland.

However, their true significance will only be revealed after this arc. Elbaf is expected to shine a spotlight on characters like Shanks and possibly the God’s Knights, with Shanks’s father and potential siblings playing a crucial role. The future promises to be more thrilling for Shanks and his family, and the anticipation is keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.

Will The Figarland Family Play An Important Role In The Final Saga Of One Piece?
