Episode one starts with Will checking out the quality of the paper that the craftsman presented. Suddenly, Menel comes and starts talking to Will about how happy he looked. Then, both go outside to discuss the town and how Will wants to make everyone feel safe.
Later in the episode, we see Will and Robina walk into the town covered in snow. As both of them are walking, Will remarks that the town is very beautiful, but the forest around the beast woods is still very poor, and they must work very hard.
Robina calls out Will and flicks on his head, telling him he worries too much. Will says that he has promised the goddess to banish all evil. Robina assures Will that he should also focus on himself, as the goddess will not want him to worry so much.
To thank Robina, Will tells her that he will take her to any place, which Robina gladly accepts. They go to Forbidden Land, where the Academy for Sorcerers is located. Will tells her they won’t be able to sneak, but he insists on going to the front door.
While wandering in the woods, they see an older man sitting near a bonfire. He tells them he is the groundskeeper and asks them to rest for a while. It is later revealed that the older man was the academy professor and permitted them to visit the academy.
As Will and Robina explore the academy, Robina takes one book from the library, and when it’s time to leave, Will asks Robina what book she is looking for.
She tells him that she used to travel with a sorcerer in the past, but unfortunately, after some time, she died while protecting the town. The episode ends with Will’s determination only getting stronger, and his resolve to fulfill his promise no matter what.
