The Faraway Paladin light novel is a love letter to the fantasy genre.
Calling the upcoming anime a simple isekai would be doing it an injustice as it seamlessly blends both heartwarming and heart-wrenching elements into the story.
Will, the protagonist, does not strive towards an alluring female lead. Rather it is the story of a child and his guardians. I can bet that the anime will urge you to call your parents to check on them.
The Faraway Paladin anime has confirmed its October 9, 2021 premiere. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs. With its second trailer release, the anime is currently laying the groundwork before it rivals all other isekai series.
The trailer starts with the protagonist’s birth in an unknown city of the dead. At first, he thought he had arrived in hell, but soon he is proved wrong as he receives parental affection from a skeletal warrior, a mummified princess, and a sorcerer.
Will soon starts questioning his existence and is determined to prove his worth to all those who took care of him. More than one face of love will be portrayed through this anime.
The trailer also previews the soulful opening theme of the series, “The Sacred Torch” performed by H-el-ical. The ending theme “Mark of Fire ” is performed by Nagi Yanagi.
Two new cast members have also been revealed:
Character | Cast | Other Works |
Gracefeel | Aoi Yuki | Tsuyu Asui (My Hero Academia) |
Stagnate | Hiroki Takahashi | Hisoka (Hunter X Hunter) |
The anime has already revealed its main staff and cast members, and as its release date draws nearer, we are getting more glimpses at Will and his bizarre home.
If you had cried while watching To Your Eternity, then this anime might loosen up your tear glands yet again. The new trailer has heightened my expectations, and I will be waiting to experience this beautiful story in an animated form now.
