The story is set to revolve around Will, the main protagonist of the series. A human child who is being raised by three undead individuals living in a far-off city populated with undead.
As Will grows up surrounded by the undead, he starts to wonder who he is, why he must unravel the mysteries of this undead land. With all these questions in his mind, he has to learn how to love and be merciful like the good gods and the bigotry and madness of the bad.
This is his journey of learning, and when he learns all the good and the bad, it is his first step as a Paladin. A journey of self-discovery and knowledge.

I. Will
Will is the main protagonist of the series, voiced by Maki Kawase. He is a boy who was reincarnated while keeping the memory of his previous life vaguely, guided by a faint light. He was raised by three immortals.
II. Brad
Brad is one of the immortals who raised Will. He is a large and muscular skeleton with blue demon fire in its orbit. He is like a father or brother to Will. Konishi Katsuyuki voices Brad.
III. Marie
Marie is a graceful and homely priest mummy. One of the immortals who is akin to a mother figure to Will. Yui Horie voices Marie.
IV. Gas(Augustus)
Gas is like a grandfather figure for Will. He is an eagle-nosed ghost with a translucent pale body. Nobuo Tobita voiced Gas.
