Episode 10 Speculations

Akira’s regaining her memories in episode 9 confirms one of the biggest theories about her rewinding the world to save everyone. Akira might have reversed time in order to protect Menon and the others, as Menou suggested several times.

It seemed that episode 9 would feature Menou and Manon together for Manon’s revenge, but the episode quickly shifted to Manon and Akira’s conversation.

Her hair color of Akira has the same hue as the color of her mother’s. Due to Akira’s time-reversing powers, it is possible Manon was born to Akira in the future.

Akira might be Manon’s mother in the future since her aim is revenge on the killer of her mother. Menou may have killed Akira in the near future as her fate was certain all along. Her return allows her to kill Menou before a future killing by Manon is possible.

When I read the title of episode 10 of The Executioner and Her Way of Life, “Daughter of a Lost One”, I already had an inkling of what the story would be about. As I have said, I believe that Akira and Manon are meeting in the castle at the end of the previous episode.

Episode 9 Recap

Episode 9 of The Executioner and Her Way of Life followed Menou’s quest to protect Libelle Island from Manon’s Monstrine production. When Akira attends the evening ball at the Libelle castle, she tries to act like a lady.

Ashuna encounters her on the island as she searches for evidence. With her face hidden, she battles Ashuna and entertains her while hiding her face.

Akira starts to worry about her after she evades fighting her with a sneak attack and demonstrates her ability across the castle. Her memories return and she is able to estimate that the events this time are different. She recalls the recent events more deeply.

Akira was at the ball when Manon approached her and told her she knew that she was a Lost One and pointed out that Akira had the same hair as her mother. Following Manon to understand why this time is different, Akira began to notice changes in the world.

At the same time, Momo discovers the factory that produces the monstrous drug. After arriving at the facility, she finds an iron maiden in which a small girl is found once she opens it. A poisonous spike is shot at Momo when she tries to rescue her, causing an explosion.

In the end, Momo’s discovery of evidence linked Manon with the fourth in Monstrine. Libbele Castle was surrounded by authorities after they discovered this evidence. Meanwhile, Manon confronts Akira, who wants to know what she knows.

The plot focuses on Menou, an executioner who is in charge of killing all those who get isekai’d into her world. These people are called ‘strays’ of ‘lost ones’ and are often responsible for huge calamities.
