Melody is released and goes to visit Harry in prison. She tells him that the city confiscated all his equipment and having him in custody is all they really cared about. Melody promises him they’ll find a way to get him out. Harry is hesitant to live a life on the run again and asks her to keep going and working towards everything they’ve built.
Melody and Robyn decide to take on the newest case. A woman trying to seek asylum in the states was arrested while crossing the border and her son was taken away from her. She reaches out to Robyn to help locate her son. She was deported by the US government and her son was sent to a detention center and she hadn’t been able to locate him for over a year.
Upon the investigation, Robyn is furious to see that Pedro was made to sign a document waiving his rights when he was only 6 years old and the charity shelter ICE claimed he was transferred to was an abandoned house. Melody discovers a hard drive with all the information on how to keep going and a video message that Harry left her in case something ever happened to him.
They’re able to uncover an illegal adoption ring and track Pedro down to a sweatshop known for labor violations. Robyn is able to find Pedro and reunite him with his mother.
