Members of the Shadow Garden gather in the Shadow Hall for a meeting. When Shadow notices the moon turning red, rumors of the fabled Red Moon begin to circulate. Despite their worries, Shadow gives them comfort.
Quinton and Goldoh Kinmeki follow the Blood Queen in the Lawless City, where they run across the White Demon at the Red Tower. They are defeated and taken captive by a slave trader following a brutal battle.
After winning the Bushin Festival, Cid meets with his sister Claire in a Mitsugoshi restaurant to talk about his future. Claire explains that they are working with the Dark Knight Association to defeat the Blood Queen in the Lawless City.
When Cid comes across citizens in the city attacking a ghoul, the Red Moon’s enchantment turns them into ghouls. Mary intervenes to put an end to the ravaging ghouls while claiming that the moon is to blame for the mayhem. It is Cid’s responsibility to deal with the ghouls under his new identity as Shadow.
When Claire runs across Mary while looking for her brother, Mary tells Claire that she is a kid who, like Cid, was brought to the Red Tower by ghouls as a sacrifice for reviving the Blood Queen.
After that, we see the fox spirit and Juggernaut fitting ghouls, but as they both notice each other, they prepare to battle among themselves. As the clash between them is about to happen, Cid aka Shadow appears from the sky, stopping them immediately.

The Eminence in Shadow, a manga by Daisuke Aizawa, started serialization in 2018. It is scheduled to receive an anime in October 2022. An anime film, titled ‘The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes,’ was announced in December 2023.
Cid, the protagonist, is obsessed with becoming a hidden mastermind. Being reincarnated in an isekai world gives him the chance to act on his wishes and build up his power beyond the notice of people.
After rescuing an elf, he forms a squad who are supposed to fight the Diabolos cult which is just a figment of his imagination. However, the cult turns out to be true and now he actually has an enemy to face.
