Recap of Episode 8
Cid is exhilarated because the imposters claiming to be Shadow Garden intrude on the academy. According to him, the first person that should die during such an invasion is a background character.
So, he takes the attack meant for Rose Oriana, thereby getting severely injured. As Rose is devastated to witness Cid dying for her, she thinks he loved her, which is why he sacrificed himself. The imposters make all the students gather in the auditorium.
Cid used his magic to maintain the continuous blood flow to his brain while stopping his heart for ten minutes. Since they are inside a no-magic barrier, Cid refines his magic into threads to be able to use it.
Glen and Marco save Sherry from Rex, who has come to retrieve the pendant artifact from Sherry. Cid is enjoying the “set-up” while observing everything from the roof. He plans to take things slow by killing the guards and making a grand entry at night.
