He even steals while asking Gamma to sell some chocolates to him. Cid also learns about the imposters claiming to be Shadow Garden and killing people in the Royal Capital. He gives chocolate randomly to Sherry, the brilliant person in the kingdom.

Now that Cid gave Sherry the chocolates, she might misinterpret thinking he likes her while he just gave them randomly. Further, Sherry’s research will also be beneficial for the Shadow Garden. Will Sherry develop a feeling for Cid?

Recap of Episode 6
Cid agrees to visit a shop named Mitsugoshi, the current hype of the place, with Skel and Po, which is supposed to sell things they have never seen before. Meanwhile, we are introduced to Sherry Barnet, supposedly the most brilliant person in the kingdom.
Iris asks Sherry to decipher the artifact from the Cult of Diabolos. Sherry’s father, the Vice Principal of the Midgar Academy, encourages her to work on it.
Cid and his friends reach Mitsugoshi. A girl named Nu, a new member of Shadow Garden, revealed later in the episode, asks Cid to take a survey for feedback on the shop.
While following Nu, Cid finds the shop similar to a department store from his previous life. Nu takes him to where Gamma is waiting to welcome him.
Gamma built the shop based on things she heard from Cid when they were kids. Cid remembers that he used to tell her random stuff from his previous lives, including how to make chocolate as the wisdom of shadows.
She asks him to sit on the royal throne at the center of the extravagant place. Cid feels like he has finally become the ‘Eminence in Shadow.’
He bestows the purple light among the members as a reward. Cid is stunned to see one billion Zeni Gamma made from the shop for the organization. From Gamma, Cid learns about the imposters killing people in the Royal Capital, claiming to be Shadow Garden.
Cid says he has an idea about who the killer might be. Gamma then introduces Nu to Cid. Cid steals money while asking Gamma to sell him some chocolates.
While returning to the dorm, Cid hears swords clashing, so he makes an excuse and sends his friends away. He is shocked to find Alexia fighting the imposters. Thereby, it becomes clear that his guess about Alexia being the killer was wrong.
Cid saves her from the imposters, and Alexia asks him who the Shadow Garden is fighting against. Cid tells her to stay out of it and goes after the escaped imposters. Cid kills one of them and lets Nu handle the other one. Cid decides to give the chocolate to the first girl he meets, which happens to be Sherry.
About The Eminence in Shadow
The Eminence in Shadow, a manga by Daisuke Aizawa, started serialization in 2018. It is scheduled to receive an anime in October 2022. An anime film, titled ‘The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes,’ was announced in December 2023.
Cid, the protagonist, is obsessed with becoming a hidden mastermind. Being reincarnated in an isekai world gives him the chance to act on his wishes and build up his power beyond the notice of people.
After rescuing an elf, he forms a squad who are supposed to fight the Diabolos cult which is just a figment of his imagination. However, the cult turns out to be true and now he actually has an enemy to face.
