Earlier in the episode, Kinji and Wanibe were posted in the exploration team. As a part of Group 8, Kinji went to explore a dungeon where he met an elite and saw the monster ants.
He ran with the elite to a place managed by an old man. The three then drank a potion to save themselves, which transformed them into ants. The trio then went to the dungeon.
Later, Kinji formed a union among the worker ants and rebelled against the Queen Ant, who was planning on expanding her colony.

Episode 3 Preview & Speculation
So Kinji is going to take over the Raiza’ha Mining Corporation and form his own Dungeon Black Company. Things couldn’t be more interesting.
However, we know how it has always been with Kinji. He will most probably climb up the corporate ladder in this world and will fall down abruptly in the end. Or maybe he would get teleported back to his original world.
And, of course, managing to grab both the Ant Queen and the ants as his subordinates by the end of the episode was amazing to see. Let’s see how Kinji manages to take over his company in the next episode.

Episode 3 of the The Dungeon of Black Company (2021) anime has been released on Friday, Jul 23, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

Episode 2 Recap
After Kinji and Wanibe smuggled treasure from the third floor, they are transferred to Group 8 of the exploration team.
Group 8 is often tasked with supporting those who work on the front lines like Group 3. They are viewed as dropouts and are exploited as workers.
Kinji and Wanibe start their work, exploring a dungeon. When suddenly a monster trapped inside a treasure box wraps up Wanibe with his legs. Kinji guzzles the monster, thus saving Wanibe. However, Wanibe gets injured in the process.
As a result, the company tells Kinji to cover Wanibe’s work too while also having his pay reduced. The following day, he goes to a dungeon where he meets an elite worker, who is running from the dungeon ants. Kinji joins him soon and suggests diving into the water.
After escaping, Kinji takes the worker to a safer place managed by an old man and informs the company. However, the company refuses to send any help.
In a hurry to save themselves from the ants, Kinji, the elite, and the old man drink a potion and transform themselves into ants. They follow the ants to the dungeon and discover that they can now understand their language.
Kinji witnesses a similar situation among worker ants and introduces the concept of worker’s rights to them. He forms a union and demands the Ant Queen to treat them better. Soon, the three return to their original form.
Meanwhile, Ant Queen decides to expand her colony after Rim disappeared, who used to eat her workers. Kinji comes and confronts the Queen. After a while, Rim also appears, being hungry, and Kinji gives dinner to her. The Queen is impressed to see him controlling Rim.
Later, Wanibe returns to work, where Kinji reveals that he plans to take over the Raiza’ ha Mining Corporation with Rim and the ant Queen, and he will form his own Dungeon Black Company.
