Farfarello captures Chi-san hostage in episode 3 of The Devil is a Part-Timer!! Season 3 is titled “The Devil and the Hero Take the First Steps toward a New Dream.”
After Emi’s interruption the previous night, Farfarello retreats and plans his next move. Meanwhile, Sariel begins training Chi in idea-linking to protect herself in case of another attack. Just as they predicted, the demon captures her hostage.
While they interrogate Chi about Sadao and his activities in the Human Realm, she subconsciously uses idea-linking to contact the rest of the group.

2. Episode 4 Speculation
Sadao has managed to evade the threat of a rebellion against the Demon Lord and sent Farfarello back satisfied. This will likely end his involvement with Sadao unless he comes back to watch his rise through the ranks of MgRonalds.
The next arc will likely focus on Emi since she had been wandering without purpose after discovering her father was still alive. Sadao has invited her into his life to watch the new world he creates by rising to power in Japan.
3. Recap of Episode 3
Sadao and Emi regroup with the others and discuss Malebranche’s offer. Chi is glad that Sadao refused to take the magical orb and boost his demonic power since it may change his personality entirely. Moreover, the main issue is that a demon was ordering him around.
Farfarello may try to take Chi hostage next since she’s the only one among them who cannot fight. She asks Sariel to train her in idea-linking, and the rest of the group keeps guard until she’s ready. While returning after practice, they run into Kisaki wandering the neighborhood, searching for real estate.
The following day, Sadao and Chi attend the first session of the barista training course. Farfarello’s demon sneaks up to Sadao within the Demonic Realm and asks him what he’s doing here. He explains that the barista training course is necessary for Japan’s conquest, the first step to dominating the world.
While walking back after the class, Chiho gets kidnapped within Erone’s barrier. Farfarello interrogates Chi about Sadao’s intentions with the world and tries to assure him that he still hasn’t given up on conquering it. Their conversation is interrupted by Sariel’s counter barrier.
Chi asks them not to attack Farfarello since he hasn’t done anything to her, and Sadao obliges. While the primal demon still cannot understand his version of conquest, Sadao decides to show him instead. Using the celestial power from Emilia, he reveals his Satanic form and announces the new Demon Lord’s army.
Satisfied with his answer, Farfarello returns to the Demonic Realm to tell the rest of his army everything he learned. His demon gives his farewell to Alas Ramus, and Sadao transforms back into his usual self.

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! is a Japanese light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara, with illustrations by Oniku (written as 029). ASCII Media Works has published the series in Japan, while Yen Press has published the series in North America.
The story revolves around the Demon Lord Satan after he is stuck in the human world. Satan loses against the hero Emilia in his homeworld Ente Isla. He then takes one of his subordinates – Alciel and transports himself to the human world, where he is left powerless due to the lack of magic.
Both Satan and Alciel take human forms, and Satan takes up a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant to earn a living. Things get even more complicated once Emilia arrives under the guise of a human named Emi Yusa. This light-hearted comedy explores the interactions of “evil” and “good.”
