‘The Devil Is a Part-Timer!!’ anime’s second season was a wild ride due to Maou and Emi’s alleged child being dropped on them out of nowhere. Now tell me, how can a devil king and his mortal enemy have a kid together?!
It turns out that their kid, Alas Ramus, is a fragment of Yesod, a divine fruit from heaven’s Tree of Life. This fragment was given to Maou by Emi’s mother, Lailah after she saved his life as a kid.
The whole season then focuses on Yesod fragments, angels seeking them out, and Lailah revealing the factors that led to such consequences.
Following this Yesod fragment crisis, Maou and the others will return in the sequel for ‘The Devil Is a Part-Timer!! 2’. It is scheduled to come out in 2023.

Since the anime’s second season will receive a sequel, it’s obvious that we’ll get to see some new faces too. Fresh from Ente Isla, the visual depicts a new character Acieth Alla with Maou and the gang.
You might be thinking that Acieth Alla looks mysteriously similar to Alas, and that’s because they’re sisters. Acieth is Alas’ younger sister and another fragment of Yesod.
Considering how things went down on this show, Acieth was most likely entrusted to someone related to Maou or Emi. After all, Lailah isn’t someone who will give these fragments out irresponsibly.
Moreover, the visual also features others from Ente Isle and the human realm with Emi in her hero form. Emi’s hero form has a stern expression with white hair instead of crimson.
The franchise will reveal more details about the anime soon, but I think the excitement and curiosity will make the time go slower.
I’m pretty sure that Acieth will be another addition to this already invincible team of angels and demons, and I can barely wait for it.
About The Devil is a Part-Timer!
The Devil Is a Part-Timer! is a Japanese light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara, with illustrations by Oniku (written as 029). ASCII Media Works has published the series in Japan, while Yen Press has published the series in North America.
The story revolves around the Demon Lord Satan after he is stuck in the human world. Satan loses against the hero Emilia in his homeworld Ente Isla. He then takes one of his subordinates – Alciel and transports himself to the human world, where he is left powerless due to the lack of magic.
Both Satan and Alciel take human forms, and Satan takes up a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant to earn a living. Things get even more complicated once Emilia arrives under the guise of a human named Emi Yusa. This light-hearted comedy explores the interactions of “evil” and “good.”
