1. Episode 3 Speculations and Discussions
The Detective Is Already Dead episode 3 is titled “That’s Yui-nya Quality.”
As expected, Siesta has finally made her way back into Kimi’s life even after death.
I am confident that this is the start of a new dynamic duo. I think Kimi will continue to do detective work by being Nagasi’s sidekick this time.
However, back when Siesta was alive, Kimi was an actual sidekick. So, on the contrary, Kimi will be more of a detective even though he claims to be a sidekick in this duo.
I hope we get to see Siesta’s personality more and more in Nagisa.

3. Recap of Episode 2
Episode 2, titled “I Still Remember, After All This Time,” starts off with Kimi stating how he had good three years of being a sidekick, but the detective is now dead.
One year after the Detective’s death, Kimi is trying to lead a somewhat everyday life. However, he is caught off-guard when he finds himself threatened by a girl he has never met.
The girl introduces herself as Nagisa Natsunagi. Then, she asks Kimi if he is the legendary detective Kimihiko Kimizuka.
Kimi blatantly denies it. However, Nagisa is insistent on him admitting his identity. He then caves in and states how he is not the legendary detective but is the sidekick.
Kimi then proceeds to ask what Nagisa wants from him. She asks him to help her find the person whom she is longing to see.
On asking who the person is, Nagisa states that she has no idea who the person is. She states how she had a heart transplant, and ever since then, she has had the urge to meet a certain someone.
Kimi tells her that it could be the unresolved feelings of the person from whom she got her heart that is making her feel this way. He tells her not to bother with it and go on with her life, but she is persistent in satisfying her donor’s desire.
Kimi takes her to meet Fuubi Kase, who is an assistant inspector. Then, she takes them to the Big House, a prison where they meet Bat, who tells Kimi that Siesta donated Nagisa’s heart.
Kimi shuns it off like a mere coincidence to which Nagisa is hurt and states how it means something. Kimi then proceeds to hug her and state how he will never forget his time with Siesta and is glad to have met a portion of her again.
The episode ends with a young girl asking Kimi for help with another case that needs his detective skills.
