So far, we saw that Kimi protected Yui from being assassinated during her concert and solved her case.

However, he held her accountable for putting Nagisa and his life in danger. She admitted to having tried to kill them to protect the possession that was closest to her.

We also see one of Kimi’s more significant memories with Siesta. They had been entrusted with finding the Cerberus who is gorging people’s hearts out. Hel showed herself and put forth an offer to make Kimi her partner.

Episode 6 Speculations and Discussions

The Detective Is Already Dead episode 6 is titled “Crimson Devil, Ice Queen.”

Since the last episode, which was a flashback, ended so abruptly, I’m sure we will see the continuation of that episode.

Obviously, Siesta is not just going to let it slide that someone is trying to steal her sidekick from her. Hopefully, we will get to see Siesta subtly express her true feelings for Kimi.  

I have a feeling that their current predicament is what leads to the death of Siesta. I cannot wait till they actually reveal how she died. 

Once the story cuts back to the present, we should see Kimi and Char reunite and work together for some cases. Obviously, they will have their differences, but I’m sure they will look out for each other when it counts.

No, The Detective Is Already Dead is not on break this week. Episode 6 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

Recap of Episode 5

Episode 5, titled “That Was Directed at One Year in the Future,” starts off with Kimi and Siesta enjoying a leisure trip before they take on another mysterious case. 

Next, they have been called to a church where a gruesome murder has taken place. Siesta immediately deducts that this is the work of Cerberus, who gorges out people’s hearts. 

She also claims that there is a high chance that this is connected to SPES. 

Fuubi, who came all the way from Japan to investigate the case, has been called back. Before leaving, she hands Kimi her most valuable possession, her lighter. 

Siesta then sets her plan to catch Cerberus in motion. She uses Kimi as bait as she is sure that Cerberus will come for him.

Since Siesta is almost unbeatable, she has to stay away till Cerberus, who has a strong sense of smell, does not smell her anymore. 

As Siesta predicted, Cerberus arrives in Kimi’s room in the form of Char. However, Kimi quickly realizes that something is up as Char would never use Siesta’s name. 

Cerberus proceeds to attack Kimi, but he somehow holds his own against the monster. He uses the lighter given to him by Fuubi and sets the bed on fire, which causes the sprinklers to come on. 

Siesta had mixed some gas in the sprinkler, which would dull Cerberus’s sense of smell, and used this chance to attack him. However, he is ultimately killed by his own comrade, Hel.

The episode ends with Hel capturing Kimi, asking him to be her partner, while Siesta finds a way to get to him before he is killed.
