Himari Momochi’s life at her parents’ gifted house begins in episode 1 of ‘The Demon Prince of Momochi Household’ titled “Strangers at Momochi House.” Despite being the supposed rightful owner of the Momochi Household, Himari is asked to leave by three strange men living in her house.
Enraged and determined to stay, Himari tries her best to make the house hers. However, she is given a reality check soon enough. As she runs away, she is attacked by a monster.

2. Episode 2 Speculation
With Himari now a part of the Momochi Household and privy to Aoi’s secret, their new life with each other begins. The yokai specifically targeted Himari because she bears the Momochi Blood, which means that the Momochi blood is connected to non-human creatures somehow.
When Himari passed out, Aoi was distressed about how he could not protect Himari, which also hints at their connection being deeper than it seems. With the new life beginning, we will see more of Himari’s interaction with Aoi as well as Ise and Yukari.
3. Recap of Episode 1
As Himari makes her way to the house gifted to her by her parents, an explosion goes off. In the center of the explosion is a naked boy who tells her she is not allowed to look at her. Two men immediately jump on the strange boy, Aoi, and force him to wear clothes.
Himari wonders if they are burglars, but they suspect her instead. Aoi reveals that he and the other two men, Yukari and Ise, have decided to reside in the Momochi household. Yukari and Ise try to scare Himari away by calling the Momochi Household haunted.
However, Himari refuses to leave and presents the will her parents left her. Aoi tells her he understands how she feels, but it is still best for her to go as she will cause problems. Aoi lets her stay overnight but wants her to leave in the morning.
While Himari is trying to sleep, she realizes that the house really is peculiar. She is reminded of how everyone she asked directions from told her not to go to the Momochi House. Himari spots a strange figure and is terrified, but she refuses to get scared and leave.
To kick out the trio, Himari starts doing household chores to make it seem like her house. However, before she can figure out how to make breakfast, Yukari beats her to it, handing over the share that Aoi asked Yukari to make for her.
When Himari is checking her signal, Aoi questions her about her phone. She realizes Aoi has never seen a smartphone, but the moment he holds it, the phone blows up. Yukari and Ise come rushing to check up on Aoi.
While Aoi is cleaning, a bunch of ayakashis close in on her and tell her to leave. However, Aoi yells at them to get out, which works, but the commotion makes Aoi and Yukari come running. Aoi seals away the ayakashi and Ise because he is the one who prompted them.
Aoi tells Himari about the non-human creatures, and Yukari and Ise are ayakashis, too. Himari realizes that they are all just a big family. However, Aoi does not think Himari belongs with them. Himari runs away and is attacked by a yokai but is immediately saved by Aoi.
Aoi transforms into ’Nue’ and summons Yukari and Ise as his shikigamis to attack the yokai. Ise and Yukai tell Himari that Aoi is actually God Omamori and protects Momochi House as Nue. Himari passes out but overhears a distressed Aoi worrying about her. This incident makes Himari determined to stay.

The Demon Prince of Momochi House is a Japanese supernatural romance manga series written and illustrated by Aya Shouoto.
It was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s shōjo manga magazine from February 2013 to August 2019. An anime television series adaptation produced by Drive is set to premiere in January 2024.
On her 16th birthday, Himari inherits a haunted house. The house is already occupied by three young men who warn her to leave.
However, she chooses to stay and discovers that her new home is located on the boundary between the human and spirit worlds. She learns that she is destined to be the guardian of the house, but her role has already been taken by Aoi.
