The Demon Girl Next Door was one of the most underrated anime of 2019, and hopefully, the upcoming second season will prove its worth to otakus.
One of the winning factors of the anime was how it had magical characters but did not enter the isekai genre.
Yuko, the protagonist, is a demon girl, but she is so cute and helpless that even her so-called enemy takes pity on her. The upcoming season will show how powerful the girl has become since the last time we saw her.
Machikado Mazoku 2-Chōme will be released in April 2022. A new trailer showing Yuko’s progress has been released.
The teaser reveals Yuko’s monologue as she describes how she suddenly woke up to find she has grown horns. Her mom revealed that they are descendants of the Dark Clan.
Chiyoda, the descendant of the Clan of Light, as well as Mikan, Lilith, and Ryouko, appear in the trailer. Yuko has gained considerable power in season 1 and is now known as Shamiko.
Shamiko and Momo have to join forces in season 2 to track down a certain missing girl. Can they cooperate after they were stuck together for so long? Well, now is not the time to distinguish between enemy and ally.
Cast members from season 1 will reprise their roles in the upcoming part. J.C. Staff will once again animate the series with returning staff members.
Another fun-filled and adventurous journey is about to begin with the cutest demon girl ever!
About The Demon Girl Next Door
The Demon Girl Next Door is a four-panel manga by Izumi Ito. It started serialization in 2014 and has inspired an anime adaptation in 2019 by J.C. Staff.
Yuuko Yoshida is a 15-year-old girl who awakens one morning with demonic power and is tasked with defeating a local magical girl. She has horns and a tail, but truthfully less power than an ordinary girl. She struggles to lift the ‘curse of a 40,000 yen per month living.’
