Ichikawa spends his time at home and googles Yamada and finds that she’s on TV but misses the live episode by just a few minutes. He thinks about his feelings and wants things to remain the same and not be different just because of his feelings.

They have a running race during gym class, and Yamada and Ichikawa run together, making him even more flustered. They accidentally swap gym shirts, and Ichikawa desperately tries to signal Yamada before she gets caught and is embarrassed.

They head to the nurse’s room after and decide to measure heights and have an awkward argument about weights. Later in the class, word gets around that Yamada will star in a movie with some highly famous actors and a director. 

Later, seat change happens, and everyone is allotted a different place to sit, and Ichikawa finds himself close to Yamada but not beside her. However, it poses a problem as he can’t see over her tall stature, and he tells her this, but she misinterprets it as something straightforward.

They clear it up during a library session later and talk about the movie and her part in it. People begin gossiping around them in the library as she rehearses her lines, which prompts Ichikawa to propose that they move to a more private place since it’s embarrassing.

They move to an abandoned closet room, but it feels too private, and Ichikawa begins flustering again. They talk about graduation and the movie’s release date, and Yamada makes him promise to see the film when it comes out.

Back at home, Ichikawa manages to be on time for the episode and sees Yamada starring on TV in a sailor uniform and looking as pretty as ever. Still, she couldn’t get a line out the entire episode, but it seems she was happy with the screentime.
