3.   Recap of Episode 10

Ichikawa finds him arriving exceptionally early at the town to meet with Yamada and to borrow the manga. However, even though he was before, he finds that she was also equally excited and has reached there at the same time. They begin walking through the town, holding the bag together to distribute the weight.

The meeting slowly looks like a date while they wait in the queue for pancakes, and she even starts teasing him a bit. He awkwardly compliments her hair, and they finally sit inside and look at the menu.

He sees the prices and gets just a regular coffee while she orders a highly fancy choice of pancakes. Being dressed in black, she starts psychoanalyzing his entire fashion choice while he starts freaking out about every little thing he does.

She has him take a video of her eating the cake, and he assumes it’s for uploading to her socials, but it was to send to him. Next up on the agenda is some clothes shopping, and he finds himself unable to match her energy while she drops some obvious hints.

While waiting outside the dressing room for Ichikawa to try on each outfit, his sister barges into the store, and he immediately starts panicking about the situation. To avoid that situation, Yamada quickly pulls him into the store at the last minute.

Time flies as the sun sets, and their quick little date ends. Ichikawa finally opens up about his behavior with a flustered face, and Yamada tells him that she knows and that it’s ok. Finally looking up for once, he sees a beautiful display of lights on Yamada’s face.

He holds her hand while on the train so as not to get separated, and they both realize the situation as they don’t let go even on the walk back home. Slowly walking back, they don’t utter a single word before saying their awkward goodbyes.

The Dangers in My Heart manga by Norio Sakurai was launched in March 2018. It is licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.

The manga focuses on Kyotaro, a school kid who thinks he is messed up because he often thinks violently about his classmates. Just as he plans how to stab the class’ popular girl, she notices him.
