The Crown is coming back! (*inner screams*) The streaming giant, Netflix, home to the royal series The Crown has finally announced the return of its fourth season.
When is season 4 renewing?
The latest season of The Crown will arrive on November 15. The teaser released recently announced the premiere date along with a glimpse of what’s to come. More like, who’s to come!
What’s season 4 about?
Chronicling the personal and professional life of Queen Elizabeth II, The Crown will enter its fourth season. This will entail two decades, the 1970s through 1990s.
You guessed it! Lady Di is coming in this season when the show will include the courtship and marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, the birth of Prince William and Prince Harry, as well as Margaret Thatcher’s Presidentship.
“The Crown” released a new teaser for season 4 giving glimpses of Princess Diana, played by Emma Corrin, and revealed when the Netflix show is returning.
Gillian Anderson, who portrays Margaret Thatcher, the United Kindom’s first female prime minister, also makes a quick cameo in the preview.
The marriage between Diana and Charles is a crucial moment in recent British history, the series creator Peter Morgan told Esquire earlier this month.
“Everybody is defined in some shape or form in terms of their reaction to the events that [the royal family] inflicted upon us,”
Morgan
“And at the heart of all that was this marriage. I think what’s so sad about it is they were such a dream team. It could have been so fantastic.”
The cast for this season includes Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, Ben Daniels, Jason Watkins, Erin Doherty, and Josh O’Connor.
