We’ve seen the morally corrupt adult superheroes wreak havoc in Eric Kripke’s The Boys. Now, get ready to see young superheroes compete against each other in America’s exclusive superhero college, in the spinoff series.
Fans already knew it was in the works. But now, it’s officially greenlit by Amazon Studios.
As per Amazon’s press release, The Boys’ spinoff series, yet untitled, has been ordered to series.
It also states Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters helming the spinoff as executive producers and showrunners, implying the exit of Craig Rosenberg. He is an executive producer on the original show. According to Variety, Rosenberg departed due to creative differences.
The press release announced Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Paper Towns), Lizze Broadway (American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules), Shane Paul McGhie (Foster Boy, Deputy), Aimee Carrero (voice of She-Ra), Reina Hardesty (Startup, Greenhouse Academy), and Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters) as the young superheroes.
The spinoff, set in the Vought Cinematic Universe, will offer a completely refreshing and R-rated take on the superhero universe than the original series.
It will have the superheroes break all boundaries – emotional, moral, physical, and even sexual. Fans who love blood and gore will also be in for a treat, as the show’s synopsis calls it “part college show-part Hunger Games.”
Here’s the official synopsis of the show:
Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), the Untitled The Boys Spinoff is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games—with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.
Official Synopsis of The Boys
The original show’s executive producer, Eric Kripke, is excited to have Fazekas and Butters take the reigns.
Michele and Tara are stone-cold geniuses, we’re thrilled to have them steer this ship and grateful to Sony and Amazon for the opportunity. We love this show and can’t wait for you to see it. Also, Baywatch Nights spun off from Baywatch, and it had vampires. Vampires!

The Boys season 3 recently wrapped up its production, and it is expected to offer some groundwork detail on the spinoff.
This is the first spinoff created for The Boys, the Emmy-award nominated show that excelled in popularity when released on Amazon.
While no release dates have been revealed, the Untitled spinoff series might take a couple of years to arrive as The Boys season 3 is expected to drop somewhere in late 2022 or early 2023.
The show will be released exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
About The Boys
The Boys is an American satirical superhero streaming television series developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which was originally published by DC Comics under their Wildstorm imprint before moving to Dynamite Entertainment, it follows the eponymous team of vigilantes as they combat superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities.
The show is a satirical take on the superhero genre and showcases a world where superheroes are corporatized and controlled by companies. What happens when these superheroes step out of line and rub some boys the wrong way, is the story.
