Lucasfilm and Disney+ just dropped an intense official trailer for The Book of Boba Fett, along with a poster that shows the titular character and Fennic Shand armed and prepared for a fight.
The trailer starts with a B’omarr monk in the sand, as the shot then takes the viewer to Tatooine and Jabba the Hutt’s palace. But clearly, things have changed now.
“Jabba ruled with fear. I intend to rule with respect,” Boba Fett is heard saying. He is accompanied by Fennec Shand as the pair investigates the crime syndicate, which he has plans to rule.
Boba and Fennec are often seen up against enemies they can’t trust and are outnumbered, but they’re fierce nonetheless. Fennec Shand is also heard saying, “If you had spoken such insolence to Jabba, he’d have fed you to his menagerie.”
What does she mean by that? Was it a threat or a warning? We have to wait till December to find out.
Stemming from The Mandalorian Season 2 finale in an end-credit sequence, “The Book of Boba Fett continues the adventures of Boba and Fennec Shand as they navigate the underworld and stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.”
Fett returned to the live-action Star Wars universe in The Mandalorian’s second season after escaping Tatooine’s hungry (and gnarly) Sarlacc since the events of Return of the Jedi.
The series stars Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand, with Jennifer Beals joining the cast as Twi’lek.
The Book of Boba Fett series will begin streaming on Disney+ from December 29.
