Basen is waiting for Maomao again, and they visit the metalworker’s place. The younger brother leads them to the shack, which they turn into a tearoom. Maomao observes the place, listening to the brothers.

Maomao successfully helps in unlocking the chest drawer. The chest drawer has another key, which opens another drawer. The two elder brothers give up on figuring out their father’s will. However, the youngest persists.
The youngest brother convinces the elder brothers to determine what works best for them. Maomao and Basen take their leave after. Lakan comes to Jinshi’s office but dodges Jinshi’s question about his previous courtesan story.
Jinshi asks Maomao to do his makeup for him, confusing him.
