Episode 10 of ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ is titled “Honey.” Xiaolan tells Maomao the latest gossip about the drowned servant.
Maomao’s suspicions about Lady Lihua being mistreated and bullied by her ladies-in-waiting is confirmed after she observes them at the tea party. After the party is over, Maomao is ambushed by Jinshi, who tells her to work for Lady Ah-Duo temporarily.
The reason is not explicitly mentioned, but it has to do with the servant’s suicide incident. Ah-Duo reminds Maomao of JInshi. Maomao starts cleaning alongside the servants while observing her surroundings.

Jinshi switches to teasing Maomao, who realizes something while trying to escape from Jinshi. They are interrupted by Gyoukuyou, and Jinshi runs away at her sight. Maomao asks Gaoshun to look into something for her.
Maomao directly goes to Lady Lishu to confront her. When she mentions Fengming’s name, all the color drains from Lishu’s face. Maomao requests Gaoshun to find out about the incidents that happened in the rear palace in the past.
While researching more about the past incident, Maomao comes across her father’s name written in the records.
