We might be getting a B99 movie. Actor Terry Crews is already pitching ideas for a film ahead of the series’ final season. Crews has been portraying Sergeant Terry Jeffords on the police comedy since it first aired in 2013.
Crews spoke to Variety about the upcoming final season mentioned that he was already pitching ideas for a Brooklyn Nine-Nine movie.
Everybody wants to bring it back. And I’m ready. I’m already pitching ideas. Hey, let’s do a ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ movie; we could do one every year!

The eighth season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be the final one. Crews talked about how it felt to say goodbye to the cast and crew andalso admitted to being emotional about it all,
It was so sad. I mean, you spend more time with these guys than you do with your own family. It’s so much work, but it’s so fun. We laugh all day.
I’ve been blessed to work with such amazing showrunners and writers and people who know how to entertain but also inform.
I’m working with these amazing actors and picking their brains, asking techniques, always trying to improve and get better.

The show has been off the air since April 2020 and has been delayed partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Another reason being that the writers and producers also wanted to rework some storylines after the BLM protests against police brutality in the wake of George Floyd’s murder.
We had a lot of adjustments, a lot of somber talks. But when I look at the scripts and look at what we did, people will not be disappointed.

Fox had previously canceled the show after five seasons in 2018. But thankfully, NBC picked it up for Seasons 6-8. So Crews knows that no goodbyes are ever final,
Something I love about TV is it actually gets more popular over time. So, in five years, we’ll be even more popular than we are now. And that will be just in time for that really fabulous reunion!

The show has been critically acclaimed, having won various awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy in 2014.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine will begin its 10-episode final run from August 12.
