A lot of stuff happened in this episode, and it looks like it is time for a new arc now. Luminus took care of the seven luminaries, and their plan fell apart. We got into some Hinata backstory as well. It was a run-of-the-mill backstory with nothing new to show or tell.

5. Chapter 97 Recap

Pope Louis shows up with Luminus beside him. Everyone is shocked by her presence among them. Rimuru is quite surprised to see one person being a demon lord and a God both at the same time.

Luminus goes straight to Hinata and starts healing her. Rimuru is shocked to see her use holy magic. She uses resurrection on Hinata, bringing her back to life.

We get into Hinata’s backstory. She got reincarnated on the first day of high school while she was on her way to school. She was taken aback by the sudden change in her surrounding. Three strange men approach her to capture and sell her.

We get to know that her previous life wasn’t going too well as her father was in a lot of debt. He would always beat her mother and shout at her. From what it seems, Hinata killed her father so that her mother could be happy, but it backfired, and her situation worsened.

Now finding herself in this situation, she decides to take all her decisions by herself and not let anyone else do the taking. She brutally beats up the three guys.

One day, she finds some holy knights fighting in a tower she was visiting. She was fascinated by them and wanted to be like them, working for Luminus. She decides not to be with her teacher, Shizue Izawa, any more and goes her way.

She respected her teacher the most and wished to see her once again, just for once. When she starts to regain her consciousness, she misunderstands Rimuru as Shizue.

Luminus moves ahead to deal with the luminaries. She gives them the death blessing, finishing them off at the hands of god. With this, their plot failed as well.

Veldora interrupts in between all this and points out about a demon lord aura coming from where they are. The knights get confused as they don’t seem to know that Luminus is a demon lord as well. He reveals the other identity of Luminus, enraging her.

Gramdono is fretting over what might be happening with the luminaries have gone. Cardinal Nikolaus shows up in front of him. He exposes Gramdono’s conspiracy and the tempering he did to start the war. He disintegrates Gramdono and returns to his place.

Grandbell curses Nikolaus for what he did as he can’t use Luminus’ name anymore. Mariabell shows up with Glenda’s report. King Edward announced his resignation in front of everyone.

She infers that the demon lord Rimuru’s city is dangerous, and he even plans to rule the world. He intends to take the Rosso family’s position, and she won’t let that happen as she will crush him for sure.

6. About That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime is a Japanese manga series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It was serialized online in 2013 but was later shifted to Micro Magazine as a light novel in 2014. It currently has 21 volumes.

The story of Tensei Shitara Slime follows the journey of Satoru Mikami after he died and reincarnated as a slime in fantasy land. A slime is a creature that reproduces the form and powers of anything that it absorbs or eats.

Satoru starts eating all the magical herbs and crystals in the cave he woke up in and stumbles upon a dragon who had been captured and couldn’t move due to a barrier. Since both of them had nothing else to do, they befriend each other. The dragon accidentally makes Satoru a named monster, and Satoru promises him that he’d find a way to break the barrier. Hence, an unknown journey begins with this unusual friendship.
