Chapter 90 of That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime titled “The Saint’s Motive” was the manga’s latest chapter.

This chapter follows Hinata as she returns to Ingracia after passing the trials set for her by the Luminas. Back at her palace, she analyzes the reports given to her by the saints who update her about Rimuru’s status.

Hinata receives a message from Rimuru, who challenges her to a fight involving just the two of them. The Luminas also visit them and give Hinata a dragon buster sword to help her during the fight.

Who will emerge victorious in the battle between a demon lord and a great saint? We’ll find out in the next chapter of TenSura.

5. Chapter 90 Recap

The chapter opens with an event that happened shortly after Hinata met Luminas. The seven clerics declare how masterfully Hinata has cleared the trials they set up for her.

These trials will classify her as a champion or hero. They then ask her not to get presumptuous and assume that she’ll be able to win Lumina’s favor.

Hinata passes by, obtaining the techniques of the seven clerics using her ‘Usurper’ and also learns about their corruption after the events.

Even though they may have been great a long time ago, the crusaders they were supposed to guide and lead personally were just a group in name only, and Hinata eventually took them over.

We then cut to Lilith reporting about Rimuru and his latest achievements. She describes how the main road is well maintained, and many merchants from Blumund are seen going in and out of the monster country.

Despite the high concentration of magicules, they do not affect the human body.

She also informs Hinata that Rimuru wants to maintain peace with the humans, just as he stated before.

Hinata asks her if she could see Veldora, and Lilith replies that since the entrance to the sealed cave is forbidden, she couldn’t locate his whereabouts.

Sare comments how it was natural for her to feel anxious since they let the birth of a new demon lord happen and failed to stop the re-emergence of the storm dragon.

Lennart and Arnaud warn Sare, demanding him to treat Hinata respectfully.

Gregori sides with Sare and the two pairs almost break into a fight, but Hinata interrupts them before the situation escalates.

She notices a lapse in the discipline among the Knights but doesn’t blame them because they didn’t know that the God Luminas existed.

As the report continues, Bacchus expresses how the return of the storm dragon had a substantially less impact than they had expected. The books describe him as a hostile being, and this silence could be the calm before the storm.

Hinata tells him not to worry as the Luminas have revealed that Rimuru can control the storm dragon. She adds that the demon lord shall not be interfered with, which shocks everyone.

They argue that the ten great saints cannot be outdone by a demon lord. Also, Rimuru could be manipulating the people of Farmus, and by not interfering, they could be forsaking the people.

Hinata corrects Lilith and informs her that the country will merely experience a civil war that might change the head of the state, adding that they must not meddle with domestic affairs.

The saints refuse her proposition by telling Hinata that Rimuru must already see her as an enemy. She replies that she plans to meet him to sort things out.

Their discussion is interrupted by the Arch-Bishop of Farmus, who tells them the truth about Rimuru.

He describes how he defeated an army of 20,000 soldiers and was a real demon lord. As chatter about whether or not they should trust Rimuru erupts, the seven Luminaries make an appearance.

They command the Bishop to deliver the message he was supposed to. The Bishop hands over a crystal ball to Hinata, which contains a message from Rimuru. He tells her that he will fight her one-to-one and ends the message there.

Going against all the saints, Hinata accepts the challenge and decides to visit Rimuru personally. The Luminas give her a dragon buster sword that will protect her.

Soon, Rimuru receives a message about Hinata’s departure from the Ingracia Kingdom. It is confirmed that she is traveling alone towards Rimuru’s capital.

6. About That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime is a Japanese manga series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It was serialized online in 2013 but was later shifted to Micro Magazine as a light novel in 2014. It currently has 21 volumes.

The story of Tensei Shitara Slime follows the journey of Satoru Mikami after he died and reincarnated as a slime in fantasy land. A slime is a creature that reproduces the form and powers of anything that it absorbs or eats.

Satoru starts eating all the magical herbs and crystals in the cave he woke up in and stumbles upon a dragon who had been captured and couldn’t move due to a barrier. Since both of them had nothing else to do, they befriend each other. The dragon accidentally makes Satoru a named monster, and Satoru promises him that he’d find a way to break the barrier. Hence, an unknown journey begins with this unusual friendship.
