PlayStation announces Tekken 8 release timings as well as early access period

Summary

  • PlayStation has announced the release times for Tekken 8 across the globe.
  • The title is releasing on January 25th at 3 PM PT for all across the globe in their local times.
  • PC and Xbox players might have to wait slightly longer for the official announcement on this front.

Tekken 8’s imminent release is exciting fans as the developers Bandai Namco have considerably improved the final build since the demo was established last year.

According to the PlayStation Store, Tekken 8 is set for a release on January 25th at 3 PM PST. The developers have mentioned that the title will be accessible to all at 3 PM PST or 11:00 PM GMT.

It must be kept in mind that the developers, to prevent unrest amongst the fans, have ensured that the launch time is synced.

This means that Tekken 8 will be released simultaneously worldwide at 3 PM PT, unlike other popular titles released at midnight local time.

The developers also mentioned that they are allowing pre-loading of the title. Those who purchased and pre-ordered Tekken 8 on PlayStation 5 can pre-load the title from 3 PM PST on January 24th.

As a rule of thumb, all players can pre-load the title 48 hours before the release time in their local time. However, Xbox players have some reason to worry.

This is because there is no official announcement from Microsoft or Xbox yet about the release times or the pre-loading availability. However, it seems that the PC players might be in for a waiting period as Steam generally allows pre-loading only 24 hours before launching.

Various industry insiders and sources have mentioned that the Tekken 8 will have a moderately colossal file size of 80 GB during launch. The fan reception for the title is excellent as of now, with early-access players already appreciating the game, and it can be expected that the wider audience will have the same appreciation for the title.
